NASA's Artemis mission 2...
NASA's Artemis mission 2... Rocket launches to take humans to the moon after 54 years, takes off from Florida. A golden chapter has been written in the field of space science today, on 2 April 2026. NASA has successfully launched the 'Artemis 2' mission from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 3:54 am Indian time by means of a giant SLS rocket.
INNOVATION

After a long period of about 54 years, this is the first human mission that is taking humans back to the moon. The launch was completely successful and all four astronauts have safely reached the earth's orbit, which is a proud moment for the entire world.
Artemis 2 Mission's Historic Four-Member Team
The historic mission will feature a four-member team, led by mission commander Reed Wiseman. Victor Glover will make history as the first black astronaut to walk on the moon, Christina Koch as the first woman to walk on a lunar mission, and Jeremy Hansen as the first Canadian astronaut to walk near the moon. All four adventurers are currently heading towards the moon in the Orion capsule.
Artemis 2 is not a lunar landing mission, but a 10-day mission of critical importance. During this mission, the Orion capsule will pass behind the moon and test the capabilities of its life support systems, navigation and heat shield in space.
After Apollo 17, humans are again this close to the moon
This launch is important because it will lay the foundation for future missions to build a permanent base on the moon and go to Mars. After so many years after the Apollo 17 mission, humans are getting this close to the moon. After the success of this mission, NASA will prepare to land humans on the lunar surface through the 'Artemis 3' mission.
After about 10 days of travel and various scientific experiments, the Orion capsule will parachute into the Pacific Ocean. This mission will prove to be a new hope and new horizons of science not only for America, but for all of humanity.
