UAE is ready to join a war between the U.S. and Iran.
the United Arab Emirates UAE is ready to join a war between the U.S. and Iran. According to Arab officials, the UAE is preparing to help the U.S. and its allies use force to reopen the Strait of Hormuz (a vital shipping route). This is happening because Iran has been attacking the UAE and other nearby countries after the U.S. and Israel attacked Iranian territory.

If the UAE does this, they would be the first country in the Persian Gulf to fight in the war directly. This is happening because President Donald Trump was angry with America's allies on Tuesday. He said they aren't helping enough in the fight against Iran. He told those countries to "go get your own oil" and argued that protecting the Strait of Hormuz (a key shipping route) is not the job of the United States.
Essentially, the UAE has reportedly asked the US to step in and take over a few islands in the Strait of Hormuz, a very important shipping route for oil. One of these islands is called Abu Musa. Both the UAE and Iran say the island belongs to them, but Iran has actually controlled it for almost 50 years. The UAE wants the US to help them get control of it.
The UAE's foreign ministry pointed to two things: a United Nations resolution that criticized Iran for attacking its cities, and a statement from the International Maritime Organization that spoke out against Iran closing the Strait of Hormuz.
